It is always great to start sport young, we take budding gymnasts from the wonderful age of 18 months. Some of our preschoolers have shown great potential and improved so quickly. It is also just a lot of fun and a great way to burn off some of that toddler energy.
We begin the structured class with a fun warm up song and then explore trampoline, trampette, beam, bar, obstacle course and floor exercises. They all receive a sticker or stamp at the end of the session. They are also rewarded with a certificate and badge in the autumn and summer terms.
The Gymfants programme caters for Pre-School children of 18 months – 4 years. These sessions allow parents to stay in the gymnasium and get involved with the session. We have fully qualified coaches that will greet you and instruct the session, and you can work with your children on taking part.
The class is structured to our Gymnastics Award Scheme and also Pre-School discipline. Your child will understand the basics of Gymnastics, whilst still enjoying our pre-school shapes, foam pits, trampoline, beam, and vault and all the fun that comes with it. These sessions do circuits of the gymnasium apparatus and teach basic gymnastics, getting the children used to participating in a structured class, before moving on to classes such as Pre Recreational Gymnastics and then our main Recreational classes. The also have LOTS of fun!

Following on from the Gymfants sessions, we have our Pre-Recreational Gym sessions for 3 – 4 year olds. These are a more structured session, and pre-schoolers must be independent and able to follow instructions from a coach. They must be happy to stay in a group whilst their parents leave the gymnasium.
In these sessions they will develop their skills further, on all apparatus. This class then makes an easy transition to our Recreational Gymnastics sessions, when they children are old enough.
